It is an annual award for the best book originally written in Dutch, in two categories: the Boon for fiction and non-fiction and the Boon for children’s and youth literature. The winners of both categories receive a cheque of 50.000 euros.

VR Stream is expert in video production and live-streaming and was asked by Stad Oostende to bring their magic to the scene.

A freelancer of Shadows was asked by VR Stream to be in charge of time management during the event.
